Jumping Cholla Jigs replicate the aggressive attack of the Cholla cactus by allowing each of it’s three needle-sharp hooks to flex independently of the others. Even the most aggressive aquatic acrobatics only results in more hooks being set into the fish. Short bites and thrown hooks are virtually eliminated, and crappie and bass fishermen are reporting that they don’t even bother setting the hook anymore.

While designing the Jumping Cholla Jig, we didn’t stop at the hooks. The head design works to reduce snags during forward movement by deflecting the side hooks. When compared to standard, single-hook jigs in field tests, the Jumping Cholla design showed little increase in snags.

The spacing, location, and style of the hook make this new jig easy to use with your favorite plastic bait. Our specially designed Shad Grubs, however, help mask the additional hooks without interfering in their movement.
